VIIIth INTERCOLLEGIATE DISSERTATION PRESENTATION CONTEST

We are highly delighted to inform you that the P.G. Department of Commerce, Deva Matha College, Kuravilangad is organizing its VIIIth Intercollegiate Dissertation Presentation Contest for the Post Graduate students on Tuesday, 2nd September 2014.
            This inherently intellectual competitive event aims at assessing the research skills of the students on the basis of their knowledge about the study, methodology followed, analyzing capabilities and mode of elucidation. It offers a right platform for the participants to showcase their presentation and communication skills. The programme details are attached herewith.

 *     No Registration Fees; Participation certificates will be issued to all.
*     Cash awards will be given to the best 2 presentations.

   First Prize: Rs. 2000                         Second Prize: Rs. 1000

Rules & Regulations

Ø  The competition is for PG students of Commerce ( including2013 pass out batch)

Ø  Two members per team. No limit for number of participating teams from a college.

Ø  Time allowed for presentation is 15 minutes (excluding interaction time)

Ø  PPT in Office 2003 format need to be submitted (in CD) at the time of registration. Pen Drives are not allowed.

Ø  Synopsis not exceeding 20 pages has to be submitted in both hard and soft copies at the time of registration. (soft copy in CD)

Ø  Synopsis submitted must incorporate introduction to the study, need and importance of the study, statement of the problem, objectives, scope of the study, methodology adopted, scheme of analysis, findings arrived at and suggestions made.

v Manners and Mannerisms
v Use of presentation aids(OHP, LCD, Black Board etc)

UGC SPONSORED NATIONAL SEMINAR ON Financial Inclusion and Rural Development:Challenges & Opportunities - Feb 4 -5, 2014

The Post Graduate Department of Commerce at DEVA MATHA COLLEGE is organising a two day UGC Sponsored National Seminar on the topic 'FINANCIAL INCLUSION AND RURAL DEVELOPMENT: CHALLENGES AND OPPORTUNITIES' on February 4th and 5th 2014. The seminar aims to have an analysis and evaluation of the implementation process of financial inclusion in India in terms of results achieved regarding development of rural India along with the associated challenges and opportunities.

Call for Research Papers: Research papers on the seminar theme are invited from academicians/researchers/bank executives and post graduate students. Last date for submission of the abstract will be January 25, 2014. Selected papers will be published in the Journal of Seminar Papers –EXPLORATIONS (ISSN-2229-4783) published by Deva Matha College Kuravilangad. Papers may be emailed to commercedmck@gmail.com.
